Dr Susannah Wilson
General Dentist
Gender: Female
Languages Spoken: English

Susannah Wilson BDS (Hons) (Sydney)

Susannah's desire to follow in her father's footsteps lead her to Sydney where she studied Dentistry at the University of Sydney. Upon graduating with honours in 2004 she returned to Palmerston North complete with Australian husband in toe.

Since returning she has enjoyed settling into her new role in the family practice she's been involved in as long as she can remember. Combining the busy clinical aspect of the job with the behind the scenes day to day management has been rewarding for Susannah. But she says, even more rewarding is the team's ability to transform people's lives on a daily basis.
An aspect of Dentistry that Susannah particularly enjoys is being able to provide comprehensive examination and treatment planning, opening people's eyes to the possibilities which are now available. She has been keen to introduce the new generation of caries (decay) prevention and minimal intervention programmes. She is a member of the NZ Dental Association (secretary of the Central Districts branch for 2008), NZ Dentists' Orthodontic Society and the NZ Institute of Minimal Intervention Dentistry.
